WPL auction likely to be held after ILT20 final

The Women's Premier League( WPL) transaction which was listed to be held in the first week of February is likely to be laid over to February 11 or 13.

With four of the five WPL brigades having a presence in the ILT20-, Reliance's MI Emirates, Capri Global's Sharjah soldiers, Adani Group's Gulf titans and Delhi centrals' Dubai centrals( the fifth WPL platoon being Diageo's Royal contenders Bangalore) the representatives of some of the brigades prefer the WPL transaction after the business end of the ILT20.

Some of the brigades, if not all of them, have communicated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India( BCCI) to consider cataloging the transaction after the knockouts of the ILT20 so that their focus is not divided. The ILT20 playoffs are listed to be played from February 8, with the final on Feb 12. The BCCI has not yet formally informed the new votes about the transaction date but informally it's learnt that the board is seriously willing to consider the votes' request, and February 13 is a likely date. The venue has not yet been finalised but Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad were in the shortlist when the BCCI planned to hold the transaction originally on February 6." The BCCI is agitating the dates but Feb and 13 have been shortlisted February 13 will be a accessible date for utmost votes," said a representative of a WPL platoon.

A BCCI/ WPL functionary verified the same." We need to give the brigades time to plan for the transaction," the functionary said, attesting the request regarding ILT0 matches. The BCCI directors have zeroed in on a hostel in Delhi for February 11 and in Mumbai for February 13. The final decision is anticipated to be made in a day or two.
