The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wants the expansion of marketable and profitable relations with Pakistan as similar relations are in the interest of both countries. ”

The statement further stated that political and security issues shouldn't affect trade and profitable matters between the two countries and be kept separate from political and security problems.

The Torkham border crossing

The focal point of the matter is the Torkham border crossing. For the ignorant, Afghanistan and Pakistan partake in an over,600- km long border. It has 18 border crossings and of them, Torkham located along neighboring Grand box Road is one of the busiest.

Why shut the crossing?

On Sunday, the Taliban closed border crossings in Afghanistan. Their reason they claimed that Pakistani immigration officers were “ misbehaving ” with Afghan callers, particularly those seeking medical care in Pakistan.

When asked about the check of the border crossing, Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid was quoted as saying that Afghan citizens were being “ veritably humiliatingly ” treated by Pakistani border officers. “ When we hear gunshots in the morning, we get upset. Cases taking medical care( in Pakistan) and senior men as well as women were also being roughly treated, ” said Mujahid.

. A Pakistani guard was injured in the incident. According to several reports, locals in the area also said that they heard the sound of heavy gunfire for several hours.

What’s the result of shutting the border crossing?

Will this hurt Pakistan- Afghan ties?
