Ravindra Jadeja finished with career-stylish numbers of 7 for 42 while Ravichandran Ashwin picked the other three as India took just 19.1 overs to wrap up Australia's innings. India surmounted the lowly target of 115 in the alternate session to take an untouchable 2- 0 lead in the Border- Gavaskar Test series.

Rohit went following a blend-up in calling for an alternate run with Cheteshwar Pujara and Kohli, He was dismissed by Todd Murphy for the first time in his Test career, which seemed certain for 31 balls. Shreyas fell to midwicket, bowling India out for 88 for 4. But that did not spark the kind of collapse that Australia suffered before in the day as Pujara and KS Bharat polished off the remaining 27 runs to take India 2- 0 up in the series.
