what's up guys today it's going to be xiaomi versus Samsung so the xiaomi 13 Pro versus the Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra and in this content i will be comparing the price specs features cameras and lots more to ultimately find out the main differences between these two Flagship smartphones so let's start of with the design so xiaomi has gone for aceramic reflective like finish it's also quite fingerprint prone and you have a pretty large Square camera bump housing three impressive 50 megapixel sensors with a one inch main primary sensor so more on the cameras later in the video now the phone has an aluminum frame going all the way around and Goril Glass victus on the front and yes you do get ip68 certification and in thickness it's only 8.38 millimeters and it weighs only 229 grams the xiaomi 13 Pro does have a premium feel to it it feels quite solid in the hands and it does feel like a flagship phone no doubt about that bu the mirror-like ceramic finish looks bit outdated it nowadays we are seeing most Flagship smartphones with a matter finish so this slippery design is not going to be everyone's cup of tea and of course you're most likely to stick a case on but nevertheless that's my thought on the design now the s23 ultra is different in the hands it feels very premium if I close my eyes with both phones in my hand I would actually say that it feels more premium than the xiaomi but that is of course quite subjective the s23 ultra is constructed from armor aluminum frame which is supposed to be tougher than regular aluminum also the front and the back are protected by the latest Gorilla Glass victus and on the rear we have this rather nice smooth matte finish now my first impressions on the camera design and layout I thought it looked unfinished with no camera bumps surrounding the sensors instead we have the sensors sticking out covered by aluminum trim so they basically tried copying the iPhone 14 sensors the way they stick out but Samsung decided not to use the back plate but over time i have grown to light this design I thinkl it does look quite smart the s23 ultr also has ip68 certification it's millimeters in thickness and it weighs 233 grams so the s23 ultra is slightly thicker and heavier than the xiaomi but with both phones in my hands it's not very noticeable they feel more or les the same but if I put them side to side you can see that the s23 ultra is slightly taller now me personally I really do like the Samsung Straight Edge design it's different compared to the usual rounded design we see in smartphones now a days so design wise my person no preference I'm just leaning towards the s23 ultra now let's talk about prices so right now xiaomi 13 Pro is priced 1099 for the 12 plus 256 variant and the Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra is priced one two four nine for the eight plus two five six and one three nine nine for the 12 plus 512 so Samsung's phone is definitely much more expensive in price now let's tallk displays now both screens are AMOLED we have 120 hertz refresh rate they are both wqhd plus resolutions and you've got over 500 PPI on both both displays also feature Dolby vision and HDR 10 plus however you can see there is a size difference the xiaomi has a 6.73 inch screen versus a 6.8 inch on the Samsung both have Gorilla Glass Victors but Samsung has the newer victus 2 xiaomi has a higher Peak brightness of 1900 nits versus 1750 50 knits other than that superb quality display on both all right we're just going to quickly go to the display settings for both phones I do want to quickly show you the screenre solutions that are available so xiaomi first of all you can see hq hd plus is selected and you've got thoption for full HD Plus as well the Samsung has the option for HD Plus full HD Plus and hq HD Plus so you've got three options there if we go back I want to show you the refresh rate options as well so both phones support automatic adaptive refresh so that means it will adapt to the refresh rate up to 120 hertz in the xiaomi you've got custom options so you can have 60 hertz all the time or 120 hertz all the time the Samsung doesn't give you that option the Samsung just gives you standard 60 hertz all the time or adaptive all the time so that is the difference between the refresh rates on both phones now let's talk processing power both phones are powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 they are both also 12 plus 512 variants if we compare the benchmarks starting off with geekbench you will see a much higher single core score in the Sam Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra and the multi-core scores are more or less the same and the antutu benchmark score also paint a similar picture the xiaomi 13 Pro achieves 0.27 million and the s23 ultra achieves around 1.25 million so not a lot between them performance wise considering they have exactly the same chipset also quick look at temperatures xiaomi start it at 24. degrees Celsius and ended at 35 degree and the s23 ultra started at a slightly higher 27.6 degrees and ended at 33.8 degrees so by the end of this heavy benchmark test temperatures in the xiaomi 13 Pro were a little bit higher than the s23 ultra further more both phones support ufs 4.0 so we should expect a similar performance from their internal storage but that also depends on the quality of the internal storage so here are the results xiaomi achieves read speeds of 17 1950 mega bytes per second versus read speeds of 1356 megabytes per second write speeds xiaomi has 1358 versus 717 megabytes per second so xiaomi's internal storage was faster for both reading and writing which is quite interesting furthermore if we compare the battery sizes xiaomi 13 pro has a 4820 milliamp hour battery versus 5000 milliamp hours in the s23 ultra now both support fast charging xiaomi charges at a whopping 120 watts and the 120 watt charger is included in the box and the Samsung charges at a maximum 45 watts and there is no charger included in the Box both do support wireless charging xiaomi supports 50 watts wireless charging and the s23 ultra supports 15 watts wireless charging both phones also support reverse wireless charging so xiaomi supports 10 watts and Samsung supports 4.5 Watts so overall you're going to get much faster charging speeds in the xiaomi device furthermore both phones have dual stereo speakers xiaomi supports Dolby Digital plus and high-res audio and Samsung supports Dolby Atmos sound now I'll give you guys a quick sample of the sound and then I'll tell you which one I think sounds better go Applause back don't go away now I already knew which one sound better but I wanted to give you guys a sample now listen to the quality of both I can definitely tell you the Samsung sounds louder and better overall quality it delivers a more powerful Bassy sound giving that extra Dimension when watching movies and it's quite obvious quite apparent you can hear the difference that doesn't mean xiaomi speakers are bad they are both actually great quality but if we're comparing the sounds watching the same content from the same app The Edge goes to Samsung inmy opinion now let's talk cameras xiaomi has triple cameras on the back with a 50 megapixel primary one inch Sony sensor and that is the new Sony IMAX 989 there is also a 50 megapixel wide angle and a 50 megapixel telephoto lens and on the front in the center we have a 32 megapixel selfie camera ths23 ultra has a 200 megapixel primary which is the Samsung hp2 sensor you also have a 12.2 megapixel wide angle lens and two more 10 megapixel telephoto sensors and on the front in the center we have a 12 megapixel selfie camera now here are some quick side by sides foyou to compare I'm not going to go into a great amount of detail for the camer I will save that for another video but I'll certainly share enough to give guys a good idea of how they compare so first few shots you're seeing are taken in standard photo mode in the default setting simply point and shoot with no enhancements turned on xiaomi shoots in resolution 4576 by 3072 which is basically 14 megapixels and Samsung shoots in 4000 by 3000 which is 12 megapixels so both take pretty good looking photos with lots of detail both color accurate xiaomi has a slightly higher contrast but overall detail seems to be better in the Samsung shots with more objects in focus for example the double doors the chairs and the slide are all in focus in the Samsung shots whereas in the xiaomi they look a little bit out of focus so now we need to test the zoom capabilities so first of all 3x zoom on both you can see both photos still look equally good and detailed next up 10x zoom and this tells a completely different story xiaomi's 10x photo is struggling to keep things in Focus the grass the slide and the football are all out of focus in th Xiaomi photo Samsung however does an incredible job with its 10x zoom and to be fair I did these shots multiple times and took the best result from each camera so Samsung is on an absolute another level with its 10x Zoom but what happens when we take that to 30 x Zoom well now Samsung is just showing off don't understand how Samsung can take such a clear shot at 30X Zoom it's simply beyond belief and finally maximum zoom on both 70x and again Samsung is simply Unstoppable when it comes to zoomed shots so anything above 3x zoom on the xiaomi13 Pro is not going to look good as you guys just saw now we are comparing 50 megapixel photos and in this mode I simply can't tell them apart I'm not one to dig really deep and play Spot the Difference to me first glance both look great clear looking shots nice colors and contrasts everything looks detailed and in Focus so 50 megapixel comparison is equally good in both phones all right so time to compare some Ultra wides now when you're in photo mode on either phone you just select 0.6 X Zoom to take an ultra wide shot on both phones be default that will be 12 megapixel Ultra wides and results are equally good on both phones however on the xiaomi phone you can actually take 50 megapixel Ultra wide shots on the Samsung phone you are limited to only 12 megapixel Ultra wides as that is the maximum capacity of Samsung's ultra white sensor so now it's time for some low light shots or various stuff lying around the home and as you guys can see both producing really nice results beautiful colors sharp looking photos both handling low light really well so quite impressed with the results of both phones in the indoor low light situation okay so next we are comparing 4K video at 60fps on both phones you can see both videos are looking really nice lots of detail super sharp 4K video capture video stabilization on both is also pretty awesome I can't fault either one excellent phones for capturing 4K video so that was my Quick Camera comparison just to give you guys an idea of how these two phones fare very impressed with both smartphones I think the Samsung wins in the zoom Department no doubt about that one further more photos Ultra wise and portraits are equally good in both smartphones 4K video capture equally good on both for selfies I actually preferred the Samsung but otherwise amazing camera experience on both phones and I'm sure the samples that I've just shown you will give you guys more than enough info and do let me know your thoughts in the comments okay so time to compare some gaming stats so Cod graphic settings first of all xiaomi 13 Pro so you can see maximum Graphics I can select is very high with maximum frame rate if I select Ultra frame rate it will drop the graphics down to medium now the Galaxy s23 Ultra also has the same options very high graph fix with maximum frame rate but when you select Ultra we'll drop the graphics down to low for this gaming test we're just going to leave it on very high and Max alright so quick gaming test here we go starting off with the xiaomi 13 Pro Target down on stand by airstrike is ready Captain Bravo ID. all right time for the Samsun [Applause] is [Applause] captured[Applause me so gaming performance on both phones really enjoyable you're getting exactly the same performance exactly the same chipset game looks and plays super smooth on both the Cod mobile plays beautifully as with any other game from the Google Play Store now my favorite game controller right now is the backbone game controller for Android I just want to show you what happens when you connect the xiaomi so xiaomi 13 Pro does not fit as you can see and that is due to that massive sensor so you're not going to be able to use the back bone with the xiaomi 13 Pro but I'm pleased to say that when you connect the s23 ultra it fits perfectly fine as you can 1see if you have the backbone you can use it with the s23 ultra but not the xiaomi and this might be the case with other game controllers as well so there you have it guys that was my quick comparison test between the xiaomi 13 Pro versus the Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra and in a nutshell both Flagship smartphones are built to impress great displays great build quality specifications are the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in both very powerful smartphones cameras are also impressive on both smartphones the very best we've seen from both Brands xiaomi actually used a faster or better quality internal storage giving us faster read and write speeds s23 Ultra has Gorilla Glass victus 2 versus gorilla glass victus 1. in the xiaomi I think the ultimate decision of which phone to buy might come down to the software both runnin Android 13 with their respected uis top xiaomi's MIUI 14 versus Samsung's one UI version 5.1 I think both uis have come a long way with plenty of customization options in both both phones supporting Google Play service and offering plenty of privacy and Security Options it's not a joke when you're about to spend over a thousand pounds on a phone you certainly want to make sure you're getting good after support too now I'm not going to review the after support but xiaomi versus Samsung the main advantage of Samsung is the longer experience it has had with its consumers I know that does not make it automatically better but I have personally used Samsung's return service after one of my phones arrived faulty and the return and refund was very efficient with no issues I've not used xiaomi's customer service so I can't comment on that but if you guys have then please do share in the comments how it went down for you guys this info might help the community design wise which one would I choose with both phones on the table and if I saw them for the first time I'm picking up them s23 ultra I just like that design better it looks like it means business smart looking phone great design and th included S Pen is a great bonus to have xiaomi's faster charging might weigh the scale for some but as I'm also quite heavily invested in the Samsung watches I feel the s23 ultra is the direction I would go in hopefully this content has helped you to see the main differences between these two Flagship smartphones also do let me know in the comments which direction you feel you are leaning towards or are you preferring something else do share your thoughts below I hope you found this one usefulthe coments
