Air India has inked a deal to buy about 500 new aeroplanes worth further than$ 100 billion at list prices, in what's said to be the single largest order by any airline in aeronautics history. 

 

What's Air India buying?

According to reports, Air India is set to buy 250 Airbus aeroplanes single-aisle, split between 210 single-aisle A320neos and 40 widebody A350s, and 220 Boeing aircraft, including 190 of its 737 Maximum narrow body spurts, 20 787 widebodies and 10 777Xs.

The new breakouts are set to be delivered over the coming eight times.

While Airbus and Air India inked the agreement on Friday, Boeing reportedly agreed to its deal on January 27, marking the Tata accession's first anniversary.

 

Why Air India needs an ultramodern line

The quondam public carrier joined the Tata stable with aan geriatric and inadequately- maintained line, and numerous had said that modernising it'll be the biggest challenge the new possessors will face.

Air India vs IndiGo

Presently, Indigo, the country's largest airline, has 245 aircraft and further are on its way.
